How to Make a Milkshake Without Ice Cream

 Healthy Milkshake Recipes Without Ice Cream

To be honest, a delicious milkshake doesn't even require ice cream. With a little effort, you can prepare a delicious milkshake that really tastes and feels like the typical ice cream milkshake.

   Though a milkshake without ice cream could just be as tasty, thickening it with an egg yolk improves the consistency and makes everything taste more like a classic milkshake.

HOW TO MAKE A MILKSHAKE WITHOUT ICECREAM

The following 3 main ingredients are required for fast and easy milkshakes without ice cream:

  • ice cubes
  • milk
  • sugar
As a basis, the most of no ice cream shakes recipes use this. The reality is that milkshakes prepared with only these basic components are thin and watery, lack consistency, and can't match with an ice cream-based milkshake.

Blender

Basic Milkshake Without Ice Cream
 
  INGREDIENTS

  • 10 ice cubes
  • 2 cup fresh milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar 
  • 2-3 tsp vanilla extract
   PREPARATION
  • In a blender, combine the ice, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract till creamy.
  • If you only have skimmed or low-fat milk on hand, simply mix in some fruit or berries. Either fresh or frozen will do the work. Fruit and berries offer the drink more body, consistency, and flavor.
STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE
  How to make a strawberry milkshake without ice cream


 INGREDIENTS 

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

  PREPARATION  
  •   Blend the cut strawberries, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing dish and stir well to combine. Set aside for at least 20 minutes and up to an hour to macerate     
  •   Combine the strawberries, and milk in a large mixer. Blend until completely smooth. 50 percent milk, 50 percent partially, or 50 percent whipping cream A milkshake prepared with equal parts milk and whipping cream, in fact, will taste almost similar to just one made using ice cream. Serve right away.
OREO MILKSHAKE
 How to make Oreo milkshake without ice cream


INGREDIENT
  • 2/3 Cup Milk
  • 7 Oreo Cookies
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • Whipped Cream
       PREPARATION 
  • In a blender, combine the whipped cream, milk, and Oreo cookies. Pulse until the mixture is almost smooth.
  • 50 percent milk, 50 percent partially, or 50 percent whipping cream A milkshake prepared with equal parts milk and whipping cream, in fact, will taste almost similar to just one made using ice cream.
  • If preferred, top with whipped cream and serve in tall glasses.
Coffee Milkshake
How to make a Coffee Milkshake Without Ice Cream



INGREDIENTS 
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp instant coffee or espresso powder
  • 3/4 cup milk 
  • Whipped cream for topping(optional)
  • Fudge sauce for drizzling(optional)
  • Chocolate shavings for topping(optional)

     PREPARATION
  • In a blender, combine cocoa powder and instant coffee or espresso granules (if using). milk or coffee can be added.
  • Blend till the mixture is smooth and spreadable.
  • 50 percent milk, 50 percent partially, or 50 percent whipping cream A milkshake prepared with equal parts milk and whipping cream, in fact, will taste almost similar to just one made using ice cream.
  • Serve into a glass, sprinkle with fudge sauce if preferred, then garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if wanted.
CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE
How to Make a Chocolate Milkshake Without Ice Cream



 INGREDIENTS 

FUDGE SAUCE
  • 2 tsp  sugar
  • 1  tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 2 tsp milk 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
 Chocolate Milkshake
  • 3/4 cup milk 
  • Whipped cream

    PREPARATION

FUDGE SAUCE
  • Combine sugar and cocoa powder in a small mixing container. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, and cocoa powder combination. Whisk constantly, breaking up any lumps as they form, for 1-3 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat and whisk for 30 seconds to remove some of the heat. 
  • Stir in the desired vanilla extract and set aside at room temperature to chill somewhat while you finish combining the rest of your ingredients.
CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE
  •   In a blender, combine the milk, and 3 tablespoons of the sauce and process until smooth and pourable.
  • 50 percent milk, 50 percent partially, or 50 percent whipping cream A milkshake prepared with equal parts milk and whipping cream, in fact, will taste almost similar to just one made using ice cream.
  • Pour into a glass, top with whipped cream if desired, then drizzle with the leftover fudge sauce. Enjoy!
